A unique penthouse with 4 exposures, among them a prominent view over the Hudson River had been lived in by 2 owners since this pre-war building was constructed. The entire unit had to be gutted. MVAPC oversaw restructuring and restoration of the entire exterior wall where small double hung windows were replaced with large expenses of insulated glass. We coordinated replacement brick approved by the coop and Landmarks Preservation Commission. The renovation enhanced otherwise dull and poorly lit spaces and linked the interiors to the penthouse’s wrap around terrace with beautiful view from the battery to the GW Bridge. MVAPC was the executive architect in collaboration with Julian Jacobs architect.
